Painted in thick layers of Annie Sloan chalk paint (I always sand items prior to painting to ensure the paint adheres nicely.) This features antique images printed in fade resistant ink, resized and layered. All applied, using the decoupage technique in a collage. I have then painted across this in textured, thick layers and dribbles. The text reads in the colour of the undercoat. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece.

The paint finish has been HEAVILY distressed, back to wood in some places and to reveal the different shade of the paint layers. Finally varnished with a floor varnish to provide a durable finish.

This is a refurbished piece and is a very elderly lady and though sturdy and sound, may have life marks, dinks, knocks etc particularly in the veneer.  The drawers slide smoothly. No woodworm. The insides are good and clean, with a few marks.
