Octavos. 364; 443; 389, [54] pages, indexed in the third volume. Hardcovers bound in early full brown leather with raised bands on the spines. Simple gilt rules around the edges of the boards and on the spines, which have brown leather labels. "1727" gilt stamped at the foot of the spines, but the gilt there is rubbed. The bindings are rubbed and bumped but sound. A little heavier rubbing on the hinges, and the hinges are just starting at the headcaps on each volume. The leather has some old stains from handling. All edges speckled red. Unnamed armorial bookplates on the front pastedowns have a handwritten name of "Bosville." Bookplates show a shield topped by a bull and show three dog heads on the left and three cat heads on the right. The text of the books is clean. Full page frontis engraving in Volume I. All volumes have a half-page engraving on the title and 1/3 page engravings at the beginning of the text. A sound set.
