NASA APOLLO HASSELBLARD LUNAR SURFACE CAMERA RÉSEAU PLATE
FOR HEDC REPLICA RARE!
This is a spare backup* Réseau plate I had made for my
replica Hasselblad Lunar Surface Camera replica, (Hasselblad Electric Data
Camera or HEDC) being made from an off the shelf HEC.
A professional camera optics glass company made this for me
and was quite expensive to have made.
I had the numeral “73” on it to reflect the Apollo 15
photograph of the Genesis Rock Moon Rock Anorthosite sample collecting by
astronauts CDR David R. Scott and LMP Jim Irwin.
Or... if you’d prefer a different numeral, I can still have
one made for you.
Offers are welcome. I
do not know its value so please feel free to send what you think is fair, OK?
Details:
- 59mm x 59mm x 1mm size.
- Has an anti UV coating giving it its distinctive pinkish
reflection hue.
- Dutifully done registration marks using a large scale
precision plan.
Please Note:
- This has not been tested with actual photography yet, so even though it was manufactured by a professional photographic glass company and should function perfectly, the photographic results cannot be guaranteed at this point.
- Reference photos are shown with other items, but are not
included. This is for 1 Réseau Plate only.
In order to exactly duplicate the Lunar Hasselblad’s design,
it will have to be mounted in a brass frame with mount tabs soldered on... and
screw holes drilled in the plane plate.
Remember to mount the plate upside down.
The Apollo program utilized the Hasselblad Electric Camera
for mission photography. The Lunar
Surface cameras (HEDC) were altered to mitigate space conditions and had the
Réseau plate to add those distinctive cross-hairs for photographic print
registration to account for any film warping.
Exhilarating to see it on the shelf with the Apollo Flight
collection...!
*Always have a backup...
I get to the post office once a week, so please expect
shipping notification accordingly, OK?
Thanks for viewing and please see my other Apollo Program
items.
