The Finnex THH Deluxe Plus heating tubes are a step up from standard heating elements, with the added safety feature of an independent out-of-water safety sensor. Titanium heating tubes are virtually unbreakable and corrosion resistant, making them ideal for use in saltwater aquariums. THH Titanium Heating Tubes are designed for use with an external heater controller to manage the heating cycle, but unlike other heating elements, these include a sensor that will detect if the heater tube is exposed to air and automatically cut power to the heating element, preventing premature damage to the heating element and surrounding equipment. The plastic guard provides an additional element of protection, preventing direct contact with the heating tube.

The Finnex TH series of heating tubes do not come with any type of temperature control. We suggest an external heater controller like the Finnex HC-810M or Ink Bird Wifi Aquarium Heater Controller, or an aquarium controller such as the Neptune Systems Apex Aquarium Controller. Any temperature control device will work, the heaters only require a grounded outlet to plug into.
