This is a copy of Batman #404, published by DC Comics in 1987. This is a major Key Issue: it is the beginning of the Year One story arc written by Frank Miller with art by David Mazzucchelli. It also features the first appearance of Holly Robinson as well as a retelling of Bruce Wayne's origin story.  Photos are the actual book. Please ask any questions before making a purchase.

SYNOPSIS:
It has been 18 years since Thomas and Martha Kent were killed. Bruce has returned to Gotham, trained and ready to fight crime. His first attempt fails, as the criminals have too much confidence in combat. Meanwhile, Lieutenant James Gordan has been given a second chance on the Gotham police force, and he's happy for it. Unfortunately, he appears to be the only honest cop in town, which leads to its own problems.
