We use the following grading scale as our reference:


GOOD (G)

A comic book that shows extensive evidence of handling with multiple moderate-to-major defects.


VERY GOOD (VG)

A below-average comic book with multiple moderate defects.


FINE (FN) 

A slightly above-average comic book with a major defect and some smaller defects, or a significant accumulation of small defects.


VERY FINE (VF)

An attractive comic book with a moderate defect or an accumulation of small defects.


NEAR MINT (NM)

A very well-preserved comic book with minor wear and small manufacturing or handling defects.


MINT (M)

The comic book is nearly indistinguishable from a Gem Mint book but will have a very minor manufacturing defect. It will not have any evidence of handling defects.


GEM MINT (GM)

The highest grade assigned. The comic book must have no evidence of any manufacturing or handling defects.
