Here we have a nice, original 1974 Strat in a custom black finish. It is all original except for the installation of mini Schaller tuners that replaced the original F tuners. There is plenty of life left in the frets and plays very nicely and cleanly up and down the hole fret board. It has honest play wear. The decal and finish are original as are the string trees. The "bullet" truss rod works as it should. The frets are medium and makes it easy to play. It is a nice smaller "C" shape and fits the hand nicely. The date stamp at the end of the neck has faded to the point it is illegible, but no doubt original. The body is nice with the original finish and honest play wear with nicks and dings, but still very nice. No extra holes or routes. The plastic is all original and in good shape with no breaks or chips. The electronics and pickups are all original as is the wiring. The pots are all date coded 137 74-- for 1974. The pickups are well balanced all in the high 5s on the Ohm meter and sound great. They are all stamped 1974. It comes in it's original black tolex case in decent shape missing the "Fender" logo. I would say it's medium weight - not a feather, but not a boat anchor like some early 70s Strats. A really nice and solid 1974 Strat that plays and sounds like a vintage Strat should !

I have this listed elsewhere so it could sell at anytime. Thanks
