This is a Scientific Anglers System 9 fly reel. This is the same as the Hardy Marquis 10 fly reel and the spools will interchange.

The reel is used but still in very nice condition with none of the usual rim rash and dings and dents as seen on thee vintage reels. There are surface marks from being used over the years but overall the reel still looks very good and is ready to fish.

The older backing will be lefty on the spool. The case opens and closes as it should. Light wear to the top as seen in photo showning part of name is now missing.
