Why You Need to Program New Sensors
When a sensor is replaced, it needs to be programmed with the unique ID code for that tire position so that the vehicle's TPMS system can recognize it and monitor the tire pressure accurately. FAQ: Why Can't I Successfully Program Sensors Using This TPMS Tool?
Answer: 1) This TPMS programming tool can only program MX-sensors.
2) The sensor to be programmed needs to be placed near the detectable area (<5cm).
3) The tire pressure needs to be below 69Kpa. Otherwise, an error-8 may occur.
4) Make sure there are NO nearby sensors causing interference.

- Automatic Relearn
If your car can automatically learn and store the sensor ID codes of new sensors that have been installed, you can use this TPMS relearn tool to communicate with the vehicle's TPMS system and initiate the Automatic Sensor Relearn process. It can also show you the necessary relearn procedure.
This is suitable for most Chrysler, Fiat, VW, Porsche, Bentley, Benz, BMW, Audi, Land Rover, and Jaguar models.
- Stationary Relearn
If your car doesn’t support Automatic Sensor Relearn, put it in the stationary position with the ignition turned on, and use this TPMS relearn tool to activate each tire sensor in a specific order, allowing the vehicle's computer to recognize and store the sensor ID codes. Once all of the sensor ID codes have been entered, the TPMS system will be reset.
This is suitable for some GM, Ford, Nissan models, and some Asian cars.
