Well if you're looking at this then it needs no introduction. This until recently was the flagship processor from Marantz. I used to be all about high end AV receivers until I heard the Marantz AV7702 processor. I have never looked back and have gone from the 7702, 8802a, 7705 and now this 8805.

A separates processor does what an AV receiver tries to do ( unless a high end receiver ) and this particular one has been used very little as I also have an AV7705 ( last 3 photos ) which I rotate with the 8805. The 8805 is vastly superior and has the deepest/tightest bass I've ever heard from any Marantz processor or receiver. 

The unit cosmetically is 9.7 out of 10 due to two tiny tape smudges on top. Functionally it is 10/10 With a punchy bright front display. The original remote control is almost as new as I don't use it. I use an aftermarket one ( you can see in the picture ). 

Movies I think is primarily what this processor was designed for and of all the above listed models I have had, this 8805 is the most forceful and dynamic! Scintillating highs and ultra deep lows ( so long as your sub and amps can measure up ). 

Complete with all accessories. These are currently retailing for between £2499 and £3999 ( if you can find them ). It will ship in an 8802a box as the 8805 box looks damaged and unsafe to travel in but surprisingly I found the box for my previous 8802a still intact and its the exact same size as the 8805 box.
