A well -made wooden box about the size of a slimline attache case

40.5 x 33.5 x 6.5 cm  (16 x 13 x 2.5 inches)

Sides made of solid wood with mitred joints.

Tops and bottom made of good quality thick 3 ply.

Good hinges and catches.  There is a lock (unlocked) but no key.

Previously used to hold optician tools. implements an lenses.  Dates to around the middle of the century.

The inside of the lid is lined with blue fabric.  The base is painted red.

Clean, strong and sound. Some minor normal usage wear but no faults or issues.
