Readvertised yet again due to another non paying timewaster.

So here we go again!

1 18 Autoart 007 Lotus Esprit Turbo from the film "For your eyes only". This model has been modified by me after purchasing it a while back as a damaged model.

When this came to me, it was missing 2 of its wheels, both wing mirrors, 3 ski's, and a section of the door frame.

I did try to find a replacement set of original wheels but these are rare and very elusive so I settled on a much more modern 2 piece aluminium set from uli nowak who is a renowned wheel maker in the 1 18 world. These alone cost over £40 with the addition of a set of brake discs and callipers all round.

I also purchased a replacement set of mirrors and managed to obtain the missing skis from Autoart spares direct in Germany. These were 14 euros each!

I repaired the broken door section myself, which, to be fair, is pretty much unnoticeable now as it has been repaired to a high standard.

Lastly, I fitted a set of number plates that match the original car from the film.

I appreciate that for the purist, this model is not "correct."" However, I'm sure you'll agree it still looks pretty cool.

In the flesh, it's a stunning specimen.

Sadly, the engine cover piece, which is a separate part, is missing. This is only seen if the rear engine hatch is lifted to reveal the engine, so it does not affect the visual effect of this model.

The original box is also long gone. However, it will be well packed for its onward journey.

I don't expect to get my money back for all the parts and time I put into this model. I'm just glad I managed to rescue it from the state it was in when I purchased it.
