This is a clean New Old Stock example of a complete Gulco 24 2-pie rear reflector and fender bezel (backing plate) set, for rear fender mounting on middleweight road bikes (e.g. Corvette, Typhoon, American, Jaguar), Schwinn part number 07 777, made for Schwinn beginning in 1971 by the Gulotta Division (or Gulco) of Bright Star Industries, and used on various Schwinn models in the early 1970s. Reflector area is 2¼" in diameter on a Bright Star No. 2222 aluminum backing and 1¾" diameter middleweight fender bezel.
This reflector carries an SAE 1971 compliance, as seen on the front of the lens ("SAE A - 71"), and was first issued in or around 1970. This provides a full rear fender mounting, including the correct backing bezel curved to fit the profile of a middleweight bicycle fender. (The bezel's curvature is too wide to fit a lightweight fender. See my other listings for a lightweight bezel with this same reflector.)
Reflector and bezel condition is New. (The State Approved sticker, first issued in 1963, is original, not a reproduction.) Both the reflector and its mounting bracket have been polished and waxed.
