WARHORSE - self titled

A brilliant condition copy of this 1970 UK 1st press Vertigo large swirl prog rarity - remarkable that a 54 year old sought after vinyl collectable remains in such impressive condition as this!

Excellent plus (EX+) condition gleaming jet black sheen vinyl - clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly played. In normal daylight the vinyl looks near perfect - completely flat, gleaming and with a gorgeous jet black sheen on each side -  and it is only with closer scrutiny under a bright light that just a few extremely faint paper scuffs and equally faint small scuff lines can be detected on each side - strictly non-feelable, surface only, and purely superficial, not impinging upon the brilliant stereo audio quality at all. Remarkable for a 53 year old 1st press such as this. Excellent plus condition labels with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each.  Gorgeous non-laminated excellent plus (EX+) condition outer gatefold sleeve. All colours, photos, text and art work remain beautifully intact and each edge remains firm along with the rigid spine where all spine text remains perfect. Each corner is a near perfectly defined right angle with barely any rubbing at all and the opening edges remain firm with no fraying. The only blemishes (too strong a word) are a little intermittent mild scuffing on the bottom reverse side edge (more continuous towards the corners) and the odd tiny scuff "nick" on the remaining edges including x2 tiny "nicks" on the spine - each non-obvious and very trivial. The quality of the stereo audio is again EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) - terrific in fact, with no skips, sticks, jumps, repeats, clicks, or distortion. Background crackle is virtually non-existent - just the merest hint of some very light background crackle during a couple of the intermissions - nothing really. Great tone and clarity throughout with every track a great listen. Comes with original and excellent condition poly-lined VERTIGO swirl inner sleeve with no seam splits, a little creasing in two of the corners and on the left side edge, no top edge fraying, and some sporadic mild age discolouration towards the edges. Note that I always ship the record in a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original.

There cannot be many better condition copies of this UK 1st press prog Vertigo swirl rarity - completely under the radar when first released all those years ago and now highly sought after.
