Hand carved  from one solid block of a tree

trunk.  They were created by the Jimma people in

the forest area of Western Ethiopia. The exquisit  feature a tripod, 3 legged

design unique to the Jimma area.

This stool has been in my family as long as I can remember and I am a senior citizen.

My farther told me his dear friend, USAF General Godfrey McHugh gave the stool to him as a gift when the General worked for President John F. Kennedy. If you want to see the photos regarding this please send me a eBay message.

Please note the natural worm holes in the wood.

Measures approx 14.5" round x 13.4 high.

I have not polished or cleaned the wood.
