I inherited 3 little boxes from my in-laws.  She really liked little containers and collected them from her world travels.  They were in S. E Asia on tour in the early 70s and I think that is when she bought this box and the others.  The box weighs less than 1 ounce.  But there are lots of details in the elephant.  It was created in the Repousse style meaning the artist created the design from the inside pushing outward then adding details with a chisel.
