I used it for my Nikon SB-800 Flash.
The bracket is adjustable for various sized SHOE MOUNTED flashes. When mounted, the flash sits outside the box on the bracket, with only the front light part of the flash inserted into the box. The bracket has a threaded insert on the bottom so that it can be mounted to a stand or tripod. I often used it handheld.
