🌸 1950's BROWN PRINT DRESS

This
is a beautiful & classic 1950's vintage dress. Fit & flare full
skirt. The fabric feels like a rough silk but it has no tags so it
could be a blend. I don't know for sure what it is. It has a certain
stiffness so the skirt holds it's shape & fullness. It also has a
sheer black chiffon fabric petticoat. There is a metal zipper in the
front of the skirt then the bodice has metal snaps & hooks. It's a
bit low cut. Fitted through the waist then has substantial darts/gathers
on the bust.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage used condition with
2 noted small flaws. No odors or stains. The skirt has a few pinholes mostly down toward the hem (see pics), 1 or 2 are slightly bigger than pins but I could not see them until I held it up to the light. The only real flaw is on
both of the sleeve area, the black dye in the fabric has rubbed, This is
NOT underarm stains at all. No evidence of moisture/sweat at all, there
are no sweat lines. It's the black dye on the top only, from friction/
rubbing that smeared or caused the black to blend into the brown. I did
not clean or try to fix this. Color remover or a dry cleaner may be able
to make it like new again. General wear to fabric in this area as seen
in the photos slight wear to seams but I tested them they are very
strong. NO LOOSE SEAMS. Price reflects condition.

SIZE: Small but not tiny. It's a bit too big for my size 2 mannequin.
BUST: 36"/38" darts - Fabric measures 18" across when flat, not including bust darts
WAIST: 26" - Fabric measures 13" across when flat
HIPS: VERY FULL
LENGTH: 44.5" - Bodice is 17" - Skirt is 27.5"

Shipping costs money & sadly many people will buy vintage items, wear them to a parties, events, etc, then try to return them. So that’s the only reason I can not accept returns. If you have any problems please contact me within 3 days of delivery. I'm always happy to help.
• I take 3 business days to ship, mostly faster but sometimes longer up to 5 days. I do not work weekends especially Sunday. If you need by a certain date let me know.
• I take photos of all measurements for accuracy.
• Please ask all size & other questions before purchase. I'm happy to help. Please compare them to your items that fit.
• TIP: It's best to lay a clothing item you have now, that fits, down flat & measure across then compare inches to be sure it will fit. You need to be a bit smaller than the fabric to be comfortable.
• Please note my items have no bad odors but I use a natural potpourri of cedar, lavender etc to repel moths. Sensitive people might be able to smell this. It is NOT perfume.
• I ship items as clean as possible but some darker fabrics like velvet will have a tiny bit of lint from all of the furs & woolens I sell. I do not have pet hair anywhere near my items & there’s no smoking here at all.
• I attach my own stock tags to all of my items that are right in front. Please check to make sure I sent the correct item. Do not remove tags until you make sure everything is okay. Once tags are removed you can not return it no matter what.
