The high Brilliance of the Mandolin tuned for the guitarist. The Amicus is a unique short scale 12 string guitar with an independent voice of its own. With a wide and compelling range of rich sound textures, the high brilliance fits well with any musical situation. Because you play this with guitar shapes, you can get the sound of the mandolin, but playing like a guitar. Unison strings ring out to create a wide range of dynamics and deliver a unique and vibrant tone that sits in it own space in a mix. For lead or backing it is a great short scale guitar with a stable, weather resistant carbon fiber body. A worthy addition to any player to studio's collection. This one is black and purely acoustic. Gotoh 510 tuners 18:1 ratio (chrome). Pin-less carbon bridge and come with its gig bag designed for this guitar.

I bought this guitar in November 2023 and have played it exactly 3 times for less than 30 minutes. Only 90 minutes of total play time. This guitar is not for me. I got caught up in my desire to collect Emerald guitars as I have 4 besides this one. I am not a 12 string player and though I could probably make some use of this guitar, I believe it should be played a lot an by someone who is looking for a unique guitar as this one is. I am going to let it go for far less than I paid for it and I bought it as a valued Emerald contributor on the Black Friday sale. I am going to put what I get for this guitar toward an X30 or Emerald Balor - You will not see an Emerald Amicus going for a price this low.
