Notes on Condition:

-The guitar is currently strung left-handed, although can easily be restrung right-handed. The grooves in the nut were widened slightly to accommodate the thicker strings being located where the thinnest strings were.

-All the electronics are working, although there is a bit of static when using the pickup selector switches (see video).

-Some chrome is missing from the pickups.

-There are some scratches and scuffs in the sunburst finish (see pics).

-There is a rattling sound when strumming unamplified (natural distortion!); this sound does not come out through the amp when playing amplified.

-The fret marker is missing at the 17th fret.

-The guitar is comfortable to play with a thin, lightweight body.

-At the 2nd string tuning peg, the plastic ring around the post is missing. Despite this, the string stays in tune fine.

This vintage guitar, which is similar to a Teisco Del Ray Tulip, was given to me by a friend in 1991 and was my first guitar.  At that time, it was missing the whammy bar and spring, so it was taken to a guitar shop where they were able to provide these items.  I do not recommend using the whammy bar, though, as it tends to bring the guitar out of tune and break strings.  The guitar stays in tune fairly well when not using the whammy bar.

After getting a Fender, I stopped playing this guitar and stored it in its case for many years.  In the late 90's my left-handed father was interested in learning to play, so the guitar was restrung lefty.  He also ended up getting a Fender, so this guitar was put back into storage until the present day.

For shipping, I will wrap the guitar in bubble wrap or similar so it is secure inside the case, and place the case inside a box.
