We always have antique mechanical pencils and pens for sale ranging from the commonplace to the incredibly rare, so keep us pegged for more unique mechanisms and little-seen patent examples.

This is for a beautiful and large antique Victorian 10ct gold mechanical propelling pencil, dip pen and seal from the late 1800s. The gold shaft is finely hand engraved with a unique design down its length and it has decorative buttons that extend the pencil and pen independently. The terminal features a shield shaped Sardonyx two colour stone seal matrix and this is blank. The nib holder has a Mabie Todd of New York number 2 gold nib and the pencil is fully working with a smooth action, to propel the lead you simply turn the nozzle. It is in absolute excellent A1 condition with no dents and no wear and its fully working. It measures 110mm (4.3") long when fully extended and 87mm (3.5") closed. The terminal unscrews to store spare leads inside.
