Raymond,
Maurice DUBOIS was born in Ezy sur Eure on November 5, 1887, married in Paris
20th on July 23, 1914 and died on February 4, 1957.
He was an apprentice at Couesnon at
the age of 14 then later became a foreman.
Although previously established; in
1924, he played the clarinet and manufactured flutes, clarinets and saxophones
under his name at 53, rue de Belleville, subject of this article.
Endowed with an inventive spirit,
he is at the origin of several patents concerning economic simplifications made
to the manufacture of saxophones as well as additions of keys facilitating
trills, over a relatively short period his types of saxophone have evolved
rapidly.
