Gold Leaf Electroscope.

This gold leaf electroscope would have been used to measure static charges and it comes in "as found" condition.
There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find it has some most of its' original lacquering, however, there are areas of loss and tarnishing, there also are the usual scuffs, marks and scratches that you expect from a well used item of this age.
The glass chamber has no chips or cracks.
It measures approximately 33 cm (13 inches) tall to top of handle.
