This is a blue and white faience art pottery plate made by Nymolle Pottery of Denmark, in business from 1942 to 1975, designed by artist Bjorn Winblad who also worked for Rosenthal. His characters and illustrative style is unmistakable.This plate is in a limited edition and is pattern 4006, made around 1950.

The illustrations depict the life of the Vikings in the harbor in Northern Europe.
