Description: A beautiful extremely fine or much better 1944 Belgian Congo one franc brass coin. The coin depicts an African elephant moving left on the obverse with the date below. The reverse shows the denomination flanked by stars and indication that the coin if from the Bank of Belgian Congo. This is KM 26, weighs ~2.5 gm. and is ~19 mm. A beautiful coin worthy of a spot in your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size and weight: This is a one franc coin, weighs approximately 2.5 grams of brass and is about 19 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #26.
Condition: I would grade the coin as extremely fine or much better with residual luster throughout. It has minor wear to the highest points commensurate with its age and circulated state. The coin has all of its details being very well preserved and has nice eye appeal. The coin is beautiful and has some toning especially on the elephant's body. The coin is much better than the photos suggest with nice eye appeal. Please see photos for additional condition information.
