Erickson Art Glass Paperweight Base Amethyst Compote

This item was produced by the Erickson Glassworks, a company which produced glass from 1943 to 1961 in Ohio. Most of the glass produced here still has a very modern feel. The controlled bubbles and paperweight bases were used extensively.

The compote or comport is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. The base has just a few minor scratches that are consistent with the age of the item.

The comport is approximately 8" wide and 4 1/2 tall.

I have listings for several other items.  Please check these out. I am happy to reduce the shipping if you purchase more than one item and the items can be combined in one box.  You will be surprised at the weight on this item if you have never owned a similar Erickson piece. It weighs approximately 3 1/2 pounds before packing.

I pack everything with great care.  I use recycled material when I can, but still have to buy a lot of bubble wrap and peanuts. Your shipping cost is shown in the auction listing before you bid and is based on the shipping rates from my home to yours.  All of my items are unique. I weigh each item and then add one or two pounds for the estimated weight of the box and packing material. The estimate is usually within a dollar or two of the actual shipping and insurance amount. 

 I inspect items carefully for any damage and try to describe the auction items clearly and accurately.  I will gladly refund your bid price if an item differs significantly from my description.  Items must be returned within 30 days of receipt to receive a refund.  Please contact me if you have any problems with my auction item.
