Gorgeous  antique Italian mosaic punch lace, also known as  Punto Tirato lace, nice size set of 8 place mats and 8 napkins.  This is not frou-frou, so it would be stunning with many  styles. Place mats measure 16" by a little over 10". Napkins measure 14" x 13.5". Beautiful leaf design on place mats that many Italian linens feature, with a different design on the napkins. All edges on place mats and napkins are finished in an equally pleasing detail.  This is the only Punto Tirato lace linens I have ever found, so it appears to be hard to find. These pieces do have some issues, as they are old and preowned. There are quite a few ends of the knots/threads  that are long and may show on the top side. Actually, it is difficult to tell which side is the top and which is the bottom. When you decide which is the top, you can just push the end of the thread easily through the hole. There are thread issues also, and some broken bridges. See pictures. May have other issues I miss such as marks, etc. NOT perfect, SOLD AS IS, as would be expected for age and use. Stunning hand work look for your dining room for every day and also for special occasions. I can just see this with flowers and dishes to make it a lovely look.
