Wind-up lever/crank on the side. The music only plays when you are turning the lever. 

Plays the song "Happy Birthday to You". 

Measures 4.75" tall. Base is 3" x 3". 

There is some writing on the bottom. Looks like the date is 1951 or 1957.

Looks like it might be handmade, handpainted. 

Fabric detail on ears and paws. Fabric bow tie, checked. 

Base does not open. 

Wind-up lever works fine and music plays. 

There are chips in the paint in several areas.
