This listing is for a very rare Jahresuhren-Fabrik (JUF) mantle clock striking movement. While the company are famous for their quality 400-day anniversary clocks, they are known to have producd a limited number of mantle clocks mainly for the English market. The movement bears their 'double-elephant' symbol but has no further factory marks. According to a clock website, this arrangement was apparently only used between 1927-35. But, the clock case looks every bit like an Edwardian-era one.

Anyway, I'm just selling the movement (including pendulum) which has been taken out, serviced and replaced. Its clean and is ticking away strongly with only a part wind and the suspension arm swings freely with the pendulum bob taken off - always a good sign. The gong train is working with no problems too.

But, should you want the rest of the clock, or the odd bit - the gong carriage, the case and the glass door etc - they will come for free. Please let me know.

The case in mahogany veneer is good with no worm or any other damage but the old varnish needs stripping off, the brass door needs be soldered back on and the minute hand has gone astray.

We'll be moving again quite soon so its time for me to dispense with my clock collection.
