Over the decades, Coca Cola has produced thousands of commemorative bottles. Each one celebrates wonderful events in our lives.
Coca Cola celebrates the "80th Anniversary of The Varsity 1928-2008" Grill Restaurant. The founder, Frank Gordy, originally named the restaurant "The Yellow Jacket". The first restaurant was in Midtown Atlanta. He briefly attended Georgia Tech, but later dropped out. Due to large crowds, he was forced to move the restaurant to the corner of Spring Street, where it now occupies 2 city blocks. He then changed the name to the "Varsity". He ended curbside service in 2020.
It is a brilliant red and white bottle. The restaurant grew to be the "Largest DriveIn restaurant in the World". The bottle has, on the face, the iconic famous Atlanta name "The Varsity" with an image of a football player. Also on the neck is, "1928-2008"
This is an unopened bottle of Coca Cola. It is an 8 oz. Hobbleskirt bottle. The bottle is just perfect. The labels are nice and clean. Cap is also perfect.
