Rudy Nappi was the illustrator for Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series of children's mysteries. 

Convinced that animals in the wild are the most fascinating of all artistic subjects, Nappi says, "If you really want to understand them, you have to see them in their native habitat." The sensitive portrayals resulting from his observations seem to capture a moment in an animal's natural, free existence. They are a delight to all who see them.
