Presented today we have a very refined vintage Ernest Borel manual wind watch in stainless steel. This elegant piece is powered by the Swiss AS 2061 movement. This movement has been completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and is keeping excellent time. It is housed in the 36mm wide without the original signed crown and 42mm lug to lug stainless steel case. This case has been fitted to a 18mm black leather stitched two piece strap with silver tone buckle. This brand new strap provides a secure and comfortable fit for almost any wrist. The case back to this case is a screw down case back and although it's heavily faded from years of wear you can still make out the Ernest Borel logoing and case markings. The rest of the case has a lovely polished finish to the case sides and a radial brushed finish to the bezel seat. The fixed bezel itself is polished to a mirror finish as well. The case also features it's original signed EB logo crown. There are a few age marks to the finish of the case but overall I would consider this near pristine. Underneath the polished acrylic cyclops lens crystal lies a silver finished dial with the Ernest Borel logo and name in black print. The slim elongated stick hands point accurately to matching finish baton indices. These elegant hands scream sophistication. At the 3:00 position underneath the cyclops lens lies the date window with its beautiful red colored date wheel. This little bit of color adds the perfect amount of pop to this handsome piece. This movement does feature a quick set date feature when the crown is in the second position. A handy function not found on many vintage watches this makes setting the date a breeze. Time setting is a bit stiff after a cannon pinion tightening but functioning as intended. All in all if youre looking for a versatile vintage steel timepiece that can be your daily or your dress up then look no further. Don't miss this opportunity to add this great timekeeper from a storied brand to your collection. Bring home this dapper timepiece today.

I've tried my best to highlight the condition of this piece with the description as well as photos under a variety of light sources but please read the description and browse the photos to determine for yourself if this is the right watch for you. As a disclaimer for anyone unfamiliar with vintage timepieces I feel the need to also point out that even if gaskets have been replaced that any vintage antique watch should avoid contact with water no matter what the case says. Water tightness cannot be guaranteed after so many years and this must be stated. Any questions feel free to ask. Payment must be made within 24 hours of end of auction and no international shipping.
