THE BEATLES - Please Please Me

Rare 1968 UK STEREO pressing of the 1963 UK 14-track stereo LP

On the black & yellow Parlophone label

With 'Gramophone Co' credits but without 'Sold In The UK' or 'Recording First Published' text.

Housed in a Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flipback sleeve which has the has the small solid 'stereo' logo top right and a red tinted company advert inner and vintage Dobells sticker to the reverse.

The sleeve is superb with minimal sign of wear, whilst the vinyl is equally impressive with just a little spindle wear to show for its fifty years

The front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback picture sleeve has the  PATENTS PENDING PMC 1202 PCS 3042

The Labels

The Parlophone logo is in striking yellow with all other text in silver on a black background.

The perimeter text on the label reads "The Parlophone Co Ltd." yet it omits the "Recording first published" and "Sold In The Uk Subject To..." text.

The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the dead vinyl.

They both end -1 indicating that this one was among the first pressed on this eighth run.

They are as follows

Side One - YEX 94-1

Side Two - YEX 95-1

The vinyl shows just a few very light paper scuffs or hairlines and on testing plays beautifully without sounding clear, loud, clean and crisp with only a very minor spindle rubs to be seen, overall a lovely example

Complete with inner bag

The front laminated flipback sleeve is the Garrod & Lofthouse design

The front of the sleeve has a small 'stereo' logo in the top right hand corner. It has crisp, clean laminate. The Angus Mcbean photo has rich vivid colours.

The back cover shows little minor flipback back wear, just turned up or worn back to their extremeties and some general typical minor corner scuffing.

Overall there are very few signs of storage or age with the sleeve retaining a bright vivid appearance in its entirety, perfectly legible print throughout with the spine free of any rubbing or crushing, and the front cover itself has sno obvious wear, a great example considering its age clearly well cared for by its original keeper.

It is the debut album of the biggest band in history.

This is one of 10000 singles LP's, 12” and 7" that I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS; they run from the 1950's to the 2000's and cover every style of music.

I am slowly listing them one by one and they are in a verity of condition, most are good or very good, with some in shop purchased condition (i.e. Like new), I don’t have time to play every record listed, (well only the ones I want to listen to), therefore I can’t vouch for the playing condition of this item, however if you want to know how it plays please ask and I will play it and let you know if there is any excessive hissing, scratches and what condition the vinyl is in.

I have kept most of these records for 30+ years plus so my goal is to make sure they arrive with you in the same condition that I have kept them, enjoy bidding and please feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them

The record will be packaged in a protective plastic cover and be despatched in a custom cardboard record sleeve with a cardboard backer.
