You will need 6 D batteries for him to work. Please make sure all your batteries are fresh and in good working order before putting them in. He will not come with any batteries. He is a trainable dog. It takes time to train Biscuit the dog like a real dog. He has his commands on the tag of his collar. His commands are lie down, Sit up and beg, Give me a paw, Shake, sit, Do you want a treat or Speak. He loves behind his ears scratched. He is a great substitute if you cannot have a dog. He is also house broken! This dog is not recommended for children to sit on. He has a wonderful mechanical sound like all Biscuit FurReal Pets. Please look up on YouTube and see these working. YouTube can also teach you the comands and how to interact with your furreal pet.
