QUIRIGUA (1932)

She was built at Bethlehem Shipbuilding Co for the United Fruit Co and launched 6 Feb. 1932.Completed in June 1932. Maiden voyage; 8 June 1932.

She was a fruit, mail and passenger liner that served as a U.S. Navy MIZAR class stores ship in WW II.

She was a 6.982 GT ship with length of 447.10' and beam of 60.3' and draft of 24.9'. Thee blade screws, 17.5 knots. 
Capacity commercial: 113/95 .

United Fruit transferred the ship to its British subsidiary Elders & Fyffes after being returned from the U.S. Navy. She served as SAMALA, until scrapping in 1964.
