This is for a rare antique Victorian leather covered travelling inkwell from the late 1800s. It is uncommon to find this name on a little inkwell like this, usually you will find them by Coombs, Berry, Asprey...etc, De La Rue is very unusual. The leather is advertising De La Rue of London and has a button on the front that releases the hinged lid. It has the original brass swing handle and inside is the glass bottle held firm with a brass frame. The underside of the lid has a stopper to seal the bottle when in transit and it is in excellent condition with the original green paint finish inside. The leather has surface wear and the inkwell  measures 32mm (1.25") square by the same high.
