The 1998 Case Classic Genuine Pearl Prototype 8340 Stockman pocket knife has a beautiful polished clip/spey/sheepsfoot point blades with '"Case XX" etched onto the clip point blade and "Prototype" on the other side. It comes with the original box and hand written certificate. Tangs are stamped with "Case Tested XX 19USA98" on master clip/spey blades and "Case XX Tested" on Sheepsfoot blade. As with many prototypes with exotic handles, this never made it into production. Closed length is 4.5" with 3.5" on the clip blade. This has been kept in the original box since acquired, but has been taken out several times to inspect and admire the craftsmanship. In my opinion, it is in excellent condition nearing 'like new'.
