Here is an exceptionally rare artifact: an original 1989 in-house advance cassette from Reprise, containing Rick James' legendary shelved album Kickin'. The album's release was cancelled for reasons that no one seems to have confirmed; it was eventually issued in 2014 in digital-only form. This reference cassette was made for in-house use. It appears to contain the same tracks as the digital-only streaming version, although some of the song titles are slightly different. It is in near-mint condition.
