PAMIR (1905)

She was a four-masted barque built for the German shipping Company F. Laeisz. One of their famous Flying P-Liners, she was the last commercial sailing ship to round Cape Horn in 1949.

She was a 3910 bm and length of 375' and beam of 45' and draft of 23.5'. Top speed 16 knots, four-masted barque. (40,900 gt of sails).
She was built by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg and launched 29 July 1905.
Acquired by:
Kingdom of Italy for war reparations in 1920.
