I've made this primitive bee from cotton fabric which I've painted and aged / grunged. She has the sweetest face with glass seed bead eyes. Her wings are grunged and stiffened antique quilt and she has rusty wire antennae with the cutest little curls on the tips!
This bee is about 8-1/2" tall, including her rusty wire antennae. She is about 4-1/4" at the widest part of her wings.
She comes with the rusty bell necklace, as shown. The bell is strung on a bit of reclaimed antique rag rug!
She is not free-standing, but can stand if you prop her up. She'd also enjoy being tucked into a crock or basket, perhaps with some dried flowers, weeds, or a few of my primitive stuffed hearts! There's a thread loop on the back of her head if you'd like to hang her up.
Made by me in my smoke-free and pet-free home studio in Sacramento, California. She is signed and dated on her lower back.
