We think that this gorgeous art glass paperweight dates from the 1970s. Produced in Malta for Mdina, it has flecks of gold leaf in the red glass Mushroom. It is signed Mdina and Go on the bottom, signifying Gozo. It may well be from the Michael and Elizabeth Harris studio of Gozo Glass, but we have no provenance to back this up, but it is certainly in the style of their later Isle of Wight Glass.
It stands approximately 12 cm high and 6 cm diameter at the base. Please use the photographs as part of the description and to judge the condition and identity for yourself.
