This is a beautiful set--perhaps not as nice as Japanese Fossil but awesome in its own right. This may be my fourth favorite Pokemon set of all time, right behind Japanese Fossil, Neo Genesis and Gym Heroes. Anyway, my supply of this is quite limited since I am leaving at least 90% of all my Pokemon to my children. I now have less than 15 packs of Japanese Neo Discovery 2 left to sell. If you are new to Japanese Pokemon or can't afford the price of Japanese Base, this would be a nice way to get into the fantastic artwork of the Japanese Pokemon. Now, the cheapest price from a reputable dealer in Japan I have recently been quoted is $18,000. Even in Japan, the supply of Japanese Neo Discovery 2 is almost completely dried up. Fortunately, more than 23 years ago I bought several boxes of this. I should have bought more. I have only about 15 booster packs of Neo Discovery 2 left to sell. That's it. The rest--including my sealed boxes of this--will be inherited by my four children. Now I have been wrong before, but I fully expect that prices of Japanese Team Rocket, Japanese Neo Genesis and Japanese Neo Discovery 2 especially will be as high or higher than 1st edition English Jungle packs by 2026. The time to buy these elusive Japanese Pokemon series--whether you buy from me or someone else--is NOW when prices are slowly rising but are still very low.
