The box dates probably to the mid to late 20th Century and is well made.  The four corners at the top have brass edges and the hinges are also brass.  In the centre of the lid is a delicately carved circular panel with leaves and flowers.  Surrounding the carved section are two further circles with brass wire inlay.  

The box measures 16 cm x 11 cm and is 4 cm high.  It is ideal for storing trinkets or jewellery in.  There is the odd age related mark / scuff which we have tried to show in the pictures.
