No place in St. Louis rocked like Mississippi Nights rocked. The classic music club on North First Street in Laclede’s Landing opened in 1979 and, over the next 28 years, hosted some of the music industry's biggest acts including AC/DC, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, INXS and the Ramones. Known as a venue where fans both under and over age 21 could see the biggest acts, Mississippi Nights left a lasting impression on generations of St. Louisans before the stage went dark in 2007.
