An original copy of the Gibraltar Chronicle dated June 23, 1943. Great lead story about a massive air attack by the United States into the Ruhr valley of Germany from England, in an overall wonderful mix of local business advertisements and international war news. Inside is a selection of reports from around the world, mostly focused on the war but also including race riots in Detroit and a superb Give It 'Em Hot graphic. On the back is a large story with photographs about Irene, a 26-year-old Irish munitions worker, one "6,000,000 Women at War."

About 11" x 17" folded. Fair condition as shown with typical vintage newspaper wear and tear. The paper is not brittle and is still supple.

Displays really well and a scarce piece of WWII memorabilia. I ship every day the post office is open with your items safely packed for protection using all new materials. I always combine shipping. Please see my store for more museum quality artifacts of history.
