An original copy of the Gibraltar Chronicle dated June 2, 1943. Inside, what first caught my eye is a story on the Tuskegee airmen: "... A negro fighter squadron has arrived in North Africa and is receiving training based on lessons learned in the Tunisian campaign.... "  On the cover is a lead story is a De Gaulle meeting but a more interesting article is Leslie Howard plus wife and entourage all being shot down on their way home after a show. Inside is a selection of war news from around the world. On the back is an interesting piece about An American in London.

About 11" x 17" folded. Fair condition as shown with typical vintage newspaper wear and tear. The paper is not brittle and is still supple.

Displays really well and a scarce piece of WWII memorabilia. I ship every day the post office is open with your items safely packed for protection using all new materials. I always combine shipping. Please see my store for more museum quality artifacts of history.
