Dramatic etching of a girl holding a fruit by Charles Waltner, the French etcher who was honored with numerous distinctions including the Prix de Rome and the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition of 1900.  The ethcing is printed on thin papaer laid down an heavy backing.  The etching is signed in the plate.  It measures 9" x 12 1/4" within the platemarks.  The entire sheet is 14" x 20 5/8".  The etching is in very good condition.  The wider wove backing has some slight signs of use.
