Description: Marx O-gauge grey Mercury 0-4-0 electric illuminated steam loco with grey-painted side-plates, and a prewar motor with 3-piece pick-up assembly. Goes with a Marx prewar articulated Mercury passenger set. There may be an irregularly-shaped shadow in some of the photos that is the result of some issue with my camera. It is not showing a stain or something like a stain on the loco itself. The wire hand-rails and the stack insert look original to me. There is just a few scattered spots of light crazing, a little bit of darkening, and moderate to heavy flaking to the paint as shown in the photos. The decal on the nose is mostly intact with a few missing pieces. Call it VG or so condition-wise. The wheels on the motor turn freely and smoothly. I can't see any broken teeth or cogs on the motor or the wheels, but the loco was not tested and is not guaranteed to work. Sold as is.
