This vintage Schrade USA Old Timer 7-OT lockback knife is a unique and rare find. The blade material is made of stainless steel and has a blade range of 2.76-4 inches with a clip point blade type. The knife is designed for ambidextrous use and comes with a brown sheath for easy carrying. This pocketknife has a plain blade edge and is opened manually with a lockback mechanism. The Schrade brand is known for producing high-quality knives, and this 7-OT model is no exception. This original vintage knife is a must-have for any knife collector or enthusiast.

This knife is going to be quite the conversation piece. Serial #000. I think it's safe to say it's one-of-a-kind.

The knife is in MINT unused condition.  See Pictures.

Excellent snap with no wobble.

The knife has a number of odd things about it.

1. Its marked "The Farmer" on the blade.

2. The Liners are Jimped.

3. The Old Timer emblem in the handle is placed upside down.

Comes with original sheath,

It is marked as being made in 1981?

This knife came out of a private collection, I have taken a picture of the label that was placed on the bag this knife was stored it.  It might help identify the knife.

UPDATE after posting this knife:  A wonderful man reached out to me that previously owned this knife.  He sent me the following info:

"This "Farmer" etch was originally used on a 1981 set of knives and Schrade also switched to 3 visible pins from 4 visible pins on these 5" lockbacks in 1981. My guess was they made up this knife when working on this 1981 Tradesman (Schrade Cutlery Classics) series.

The 3 visible pins show that it was made in 1981 or later. The carbon blade (Schrade stamp, not Schrade+) dates it to the first run of these 7OT knives. They were listed in catalog in 1979 and 1980."

Disclaimer:  The knives I sell have been in storage for many years.  Some will have tarnish on them.  Some will need to be polished, cleaned and oiled.  I do not clean them up.  I leave that up to the buyer.

I have described the knife the best I can.  The information I have provided is what I could find on the knife and/or online.  Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

I’m sorry, I DO NOT accept returns. Look closely at the pictures and ask questions before bidding or purchasing.
