A fine quality piece of English Art Deco pottery by Grimwades, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire under their Royal Winton trade mark  which became recognised in 1929.

Hand painted, it takes the form of a sugar caster or sifter, and is part of a fantasy range called "Pixie"

This shows a pixie swinging round a stem of a toadstool (see photos)

This a rare colourway with a multicoloured toadstool cap and the pixie in two colour red attire.

It carries the rarer  factory backstamp  Pixie together with the Registered Number (see photo)

In very good condition consistent with age. No apparent chips, cracks or restoration. Typical of this type of ware there is light glaze crazing.

Original cork stopper.

It weighs about 163g.

It stands about 5.5"high and is approximately 3" at it's widest across the base
